McKenzie is a Class of 2010 Graduate

McKenzie Graduated from High School last night at the BYU Marriot Center!
We are so proud of her and all of her High School accomplishments!
Our first child to have Gold Chords!
Something interesting that was brought up by one of the speakers
was that this class, the class of 2010
is the first class that has been in school as long as Lone Peak has been open.
This class was in Kindergarten Lone Peaks first year!
That is so weird because I always think of Lone Peak as a new school!
The best part of graduating is that she now gets her new car!
Congratulations McKenzie!! The world is yours!
(and please drive safe! : ) !!)

Saying Goodbye to Grandpa!!

We had the funnest week having Grandpa
at our house for McKenzie's Graduation!
He left this morning,
so I dragged the boys out for one last photo op.
Notice everyone looks half asleep with bed head?
Especially Hunter!!!

I even decided to get in on a picture which I normally don't do!
Not the best picture, but at least I am in it!
I love it when my dad visits.
I never have to entertain him or his wife Leah,
they just entertain themselves.
The boys love that he always takes them
to Cabella's!
It is a big Toy Store for Grandpa's!
I spent the time cooking for them
and sent them on their way with tons of food too!
We are going out there in July again this year
and the boys and I are so excited!
McKenzie is even going to come!

Thanks for coming Grandpa!
We Love You!

Bridger's Fingers!

Summer can't decide if she should let Bridger suck his fingers
or give him his Binky back!
I say let him suck his fingers!
It is so dang cute!!

Sucking his fingers with his favorite blanky!
(Which of course I gave him. I also gave Dakota his favorite Blanky)

This is a fun picture of Daniel. He usually tries not to smile for pictures.
Luckily I caught him off guard and caught this fun smile from him!
Enjoy! It may never happen again!

McKenzie had Seminary graduation on Sunday!
There were 10 seniors from the ward who graduated!

The Cove Ward Seminary Graduates!

Not the best picture, but still it is a picture of Mom and McKenzie!
She is always complaining we don't have any pictures together!

McKenzie and Steven Welch!
These two have been friends since they were 4!
They are like brother and sister!

McKenzie and Nate Erickson!
Her good buddy from the ward!

The Girls! Friends for life!

Way to go McKenzie! Just one more thing to check off the list!

Happy 66th Birthday Dad!

Yesterday was my dad's 66th Birthday!
He was actually here, because he came out for McKenzie's Graduation!
It is so great having him here!
The boys all love it because he is a " way fun " Grandpa!
I tried to find a picture of him when he was younger,
and then I thought it would be fun if I could find
a picture of he and I together.
So after digging through pictures
I found this one!
Oh My Gosh! We are both so young!!

Happy Birthday Dad/Grandpa

We Love you!!!!!!

May 24th, 2010 "Are you kidding me?"

Just a few days a go I was sitting at a baseball game in the warmth of the sun,
and today I wake up to this!
I looked out the window and all I could say is,
"ARE YOU KIDDING ME?"
Yes, today is May 24th.
The first day of the last week of school before summer break!
Or should we say winter break?
Break out the jackets and the snow boots!
(Which I packed away last week!)

Even the boys, who love the snow did not seem particularly happy about it!

I think I will save this one for a Christmas card!
Even the deer seemed to be saying, "SERIOUSLY!"

Lone Peak Baseball

I am not much of a Baseball fan.
The game always seemed a little boring and slow to me,
but yesterday Annette talked me into going to the
State Championship Game that Lone Peak was playing in!
Well, it was anything but boring,
and so worth going to just to see the big pile up at the end!
I don't even have boys playing and I wanted to cry!
Lone Peak is the new State Baseball Champs!

And I love the picture!
Love the catcher at the top diving into the pile!!

Mothers Day Bouquet

For Mothers Day Summer brought me this yummy
"Fruit Bouquet"
It was so fun I didn't want to eat it,
but I did...........

Thanks Summer!!!!!!

MATC Graduation

McKenzie is not our only child, but as of lately it seems that way!
Because of graduation it seems that everything going on is about her,
as was last night when she graduated from
MountainLand Applied Technology College
and now has her Certified Nursing Assistant Certificate!
We are so proud of her!
She did really well and always had some of the top scores in the class,
and her teacher told me last night how much she loved
having McKenzie in her class!

McKenzie with some of the students in her class
and her teacher!
(The boy in the back that is pretending to be tall
is probably shorter than all of the girls
so he is standing on a chair!) :)

This is one of her favorite friends that she had class with,
as well as the picture at the bottom of this post
with another one of her favorite friends,
neither of which go to her high school!
McKenzie told me that one of the things she enjoyed about
doing the CNA program was
making new friends with those that she might not have been friends with otherwise!

While we were at her graduation she missed going to the
"Knight of Recognition"
Ceremony that was at the High School for the Seniors.
My friend Annette texted me through out the night to let me know that
McKenzie had received a Scholarship Award
as well as the "Principals Award" that is awarded
to only 20 graduating Seniors
from the class of about 700 seniors.
The award winners are picked because the Principal feels they
best represent Lone Peak High School.
Apparently it is a coveted award!
She had no idea she was getting it and was so surprised when I told her.
Today they came into one of her classes and gave her a plaque!
We are so proud of her!!
(If any of my other children are reading this,
know that we are so proud of all of you!!!) :)

Way to go McKenzie!

McKenzies Senior Pictures

We got McKenzies Senior pictures back
And I love every one of them!
Our photographer did such a great job
and it helps that McKenzie is a natural in front of the camera!

If you scroll down to look at anymore posts that I have you are going to want to click the little sound thing at the top of the slide show off, because it never shuts up!!!!! :)

Cutest Baby Born in 2009!

According to the Utah Valley Magazine May/June issue
the Cutest Baby Born in 2009 is..........

Bridger James Dunn!!!!

Of course nobody had to tell us that!

Summer entered the above picture into their baby contest,
and Bridger got 1st place!!!!

Summer won a $100.00 gift certificate to Dear Lizzy
and Bridger got a soft Minky blanket!

The boys gave Summer a suggestion on what she should get with her $100.
They told her not to waste it on any useless jewelery,
but that she should spend the whole $100 on Cup Cakes!
(Dear Lizzy has the best cupcakes)!!!!

Congratulations Bridger!
We already knew you were the cutest!
Glad to see that Utah Valley Magazine agrees!!

Signs of Spring......

I love Spring!!
This year it seems as though Spring will never come.
It seriously still snows every few days, and it is May.
Yesterday, May 2nd, we woke up to snow covering the yard
and it wasn't even the first time this week that it had snowed.
Today, however seems a little more like Spring!
Here are some of the things that make me believe that Spring will come......

I love when I look out my back window everything is turning green,
the white blossoms are blooming on the trees.
(Popcorn popping on the trees as Noah calls it)
And I love that you can still see the snow on the mountains,
I wish that it would just stay on the mountains!

The Tulips have come up
and have managed to survive the snow storms.

One of the biggest signs that Spring is here is that the lambs are being born
at the farm on the way down to American Fork.
Every year it is so fun to drive by and see more and more lambs everyday!
They are so cute, but only stay cute and little for a short time,
but seeing them is a sure sign that Spring is on its way,
it is just taking longer this year than most!

Hopefully Spring will stay awhile!!!

I am so ready for it!!!!
