McKenzie and Hunter

McKenzie and friends at their Black and White Dinner on Saturday!
I found these pictures of McKenzie and Hunter on the Computer
and thought they were so funny............

Gotta love these guys!

Hiking!

Last Thursday we went hiking up to the campground
in the mountains behind our home.
It is a pretty good little hike.
Once we got there we roasted Hot Dogs and Marshmellows
and the kids hunted for lizards.
It was a fun afternoon/evening...
even when Daniel and I and a friend ended up getting lost
and had to make our own way down the mountain.........
(not fun! but gave Daniel a chance to use all of those survival skills
he has been working on at scouts..)

Love the view and that you can see our house from where ever we were!

Summer and Dakota at the beginning of the hike.
Dakota packed his own back pack which ended up having some
interesting things in it.....
Shark book, pirate compass, and a lot of other things he thought
he might need on the hike.
He did a great job and never once complained.

I had to post this picture of Daniel just because his hair has gotten so long.
I usually dont let the boys do long hair but as of lately
have been a little bit relaxed and have allowed them to do what ever.
(Noah got a mohawk yesterday and I didn't even care,
what is up with that?)

Noah and James had walky talky head sets just in case someone got lost.
Well I got lost, but we didn't have anyway to communicate.
I guess I should have had Noah get lost with us!

A little friend we met along the way......

Dakota hunting for Lizards!

Roasting Hot Dogs......

Malone loved hiking with us.

Everything is so green and beautiful.
You gotta love the view, I know I love it and I love where we live!
Alpine is so beautiful this time of year.

Swimming in the Pool....

We finally got the swimming pool up and going.
The cold weather this year caused us to wait to heat it up.
Everyone is so happy to be able to swim
and spent this last week swimming everyday.

Dakota was having a moment........
not quite sure what was going on, but still thought he was so cute!
Even when he cries..........

"Welcome to the Pool"
is what Noah seems to be saying!
He is our little fish and can't seem to get enough of the water.
He is so sunburned this week from all of the time he has spent outside.

Not quite sure he wanted to go down.
Summer was trying to help him,
but after Noah told him there were sharks in the pool
he wasn't s sure he wanted to take the risk!

Even after Noah showed him how to do it and then waited for him at the bottom
Dakota still wasn't sure!
Funny how he stops himself right at the bottom!

With Hunter at Scout camp,
Noah is bored and decides to rest his sun burned body
by watching the Polar Express 3D!

McKenzie is Home...........

After 3 Weeks back East visiting Church History Sites,
McKenzie is finally home!
I think the smile on her face says it all.........
As great as the trip was,
she was ready to come home........

Below are just a few of the pictures that she took on the trip!
I just picked out my favorites.......

Her family that she was assigned to for the whole trip!

This picture was taken fr0m the bus
as they were driving through an Amish community!
She did tell me that she loved how green everything was,
and she is sure she saw some of the prettiest country that we have
in the U.S. on this trip.

McKenzie loved seeing these old shoes and hats that were on display
at the Newel K Whitney Store!

Niagera Falls
I loved these pictures.
They were my favorite that she took
!

This is Josh Anderson.
We lived in the same ward when these two were born,
but they never knew each other
or went to school together.
They met on this trip and had so much fun together.
I visit taught his mom when these two were born!

Sacred Grove
I have never been there, but this is how I picture it!
It looks so beautiful and so green,
and very peaceful.....

Boston Temple

This is such a beautiful river and if I could pronounce it,
maybe I could spell it......

McKenzie took this picture because of how much our family loves
the T.V. show the OFFICE!

Nauvoo Temple
Love how she is becoming such a photographer
with the flowers in the fore ground and all!

Funny how she is on a church tour with a church group
but has to take a moment to pose next to a wall
advertising Budweiser Beer!

Her family on the trip,
along with Brother Pellow
who she loved!

McKenzie and Ali!
I love this picture of these two!

Josh Anderson, McKenzie and Taylor Smart!
Funny story about Taylor. James knows his dad really well
and wanted to set McKenzie and Taylor up.
When I told McKenzie about it,
she laughed because she already knew Taylor
and they had already gone out...............

Not sure who this is, but McKenzie seems to only have eyes for him....

With Brother Pellow an the last day of the trip!
She went to a lot more places than what she took pictures of.
She had a lot of spiritual and learning experiences,
but she said what she learned the most
was how much she loved and appreciated her family!
She was just a little home sick by the end....
So glad you are home Kenz!
We missed you!!!
