Memorial Day

Regatta Race

This past week was the Rain gutter Ragatta for Cub Scouts.
We had it at our house.
Noah's boat was a Jimmer boat!
Which isn't a surprise seeing how he is his biggest fan!

Towards the end when he wasn't winning any races
he started to cheat by pushing the sail with the rim of his hat!
Do not know what I am going to do with this kid!
He is such a cheater......

After the races, which went fast because we only have 5 cub scouts,
the boys all swam in the pool and had a lot of fun.

Bryce Mickelson and Eli Vajello.
These two guy are in my primary class and I love them
even though they are pretty naughty most of the time!
Cute boys!

They also roasted Marshmellows in the fire pit!
The above picture is a perfectly roasted marshmellow,
in my opinion anyway.

Jacob Vajello after eating a S'more!

It was a fun night and the scouts all seemed to have a good time!

Ducks in the Bath!

The Ducks are growing......
They are now starting to get their feathers and seem to change everyday.
We give them time daily in the bath tub. They seem to love it.
Splashing around and going crazy!
Ducks really are just pooping machines.
It is all that they do.
Eat and poop, eat and poop!!

In another week we are going to take them to a pond and let them loose.
We really cant keep them around here.
They will just get killed by something and I would hate that.
And I really can't keep them in the house much longer,
they really don't smell good and I am always cleaning out their pen,
which is a great big plastic storage container!
Not exactly the perfect home for ducks.
They have been fun though and it has been fun to watch them grow.

Boondocks

(The above picture is just one I took while I was watching the boys in the cars.
I thought it looked kind of cool with the sun and the clouds and all.)

A few weeks ago we went to Boondocks for Family Home Evening.
Noah has been begging to go somewhere and play miniature golf,
so we thought we would go.
At Boondocks they have a lot more than just miniature golf
and the boys loved driving the cars on the track!

We did end up playing miniature golf.
Daniel and Hunter didn't play, they were busy doing stuff inside.

We found out that Noah is a major cheater!!
He had to win at all costs!

Later, Noah and I drove the car on the track.
Noah was convinced I was not driving fast enough,
but I could not go faster, I had the pedal to the floor!

We also played Laser Tag which was a first for me and it was a lot of fun.
We had a great night with the boys. Lots of fun!
Noah picked a great Family Home Evening!

Alpine Elementary Carnival

Noah wanted to make a cake this year for the Cake Contest
at the Alpine Elementary Carnival.
It would be used in the cake walk.
He wanted to make Lego's and this is what we came up with....
He thought it was the greatest cake ever!
Kind of fun and it was a favorite and went early in the cake walk.

This year I was a co chair on the Carnival Committee
and my assignment was to be over all of the games.
Wow! What a job.
I had to organize all of the games, get volunteers, order all of the prizes,
and basically stress for the last two months about everything!
Surprisingly it turned out well, with just a few minor hiccups!
So, so glad that it is over though!

Autumn was one of my volunteers.
I also recruited Daniel, Matt and Sam for the evening too!
They were all such a huge help!

Noah and Jacob!
I can't decide if Noah is just getting taller or if Jacob is getting shorter!
No matter, Jacob is still older!

This year we added a petting zoo to the Carnival,
as well as Pony Rides and a Reptile Show!
Lots of fun stuff to do!

The little girl in the background is scary!
And this poor pony looks like he got a really bad haircut!

Although it did not rain, which I am so thankful for,
it did end up being really cold and by the end of the night it was freezing!
Seemed like last year it was really, really hot!
Maybe next year it will be just right!
Next year it wont be my problem though, because I am going to learn how to say "No"!

Mothers Day!

For Mothers Day this year McKenzie completely surprised me
by bringing home 2 little, very cute Ducks!
Wow! What am I suppose to do with Ducks?
We have never had the best of luck with Ducks before
so my main goal is to keep them alive.
So far, so good!
They really are very cute, and already after one week,
growing fast.
Really all they do is Eat, Sleep and Poop
just like any other baby........

Of course everybody wants to hold them......
Bridger and Dakota especially love them!

It was a nice Mothers Day with all of the kids here.

Noah modeling the hat Summer gave me.....

And of course no post would be complete without Hunter.
He got out of the pool and walked into the house
and this is what his hair looked like.
He reminded me of an Oompa Loompa!
And also like Hunter, he had to make a face!
I think I just may post them on facebook so all of his girlfriends can see them!
Then maybe he will stop.....but chances are, not!

Thanks kids for the great Mothers Day and for all of the gifts!
I love you all!
Thanks for being my kids so I can be your mother!

Thursday, May 5

Finally put new flowers in the gate baskets.
They look a lot more like Spring...
a lot better than the Christmas flowers that were still in there.
Maybe that is why it has still been snowing.
Hopefully now that I have changed the flowers it is now officially Spring!
One can hope!

It was a beautiful day today. In the 70's!
Rode around with my sun roof open.

On another note,
poor little Stockton lost his manlihood (is that even a word?) today!
He is doing just fine! Running around, you would not even know anything happened.
James on the other hand seems to be having sympathy pain and is convinced the
dog is miserable and hurting!! And insists on filling him full of pain meds!

The Little Boys

(Bridger got a new haircut!)

Last week end I had Dakota and Bridger
for 4 days while Summer and Scott went to Vegas!
I love these little guys, but they do seem to transform the house when they are here.

On a normal day
this is what my family room looks like........

But when Bridger and Dakota are here
it turns into this..............

And for some reason Bridger had this thing about taking all of the screens
out of the windows in the front room
and lining them up nicely against the windows.

Going to sleep at night was actually easy this time.
And Bridger is such a good sleeper and would sleep all night long.
Summer says he does not do that at her house but he did for me!

They are so, so cute when they are sound a sleep!

They spent a lot of time in the Hot Tub!

Dakota and Noah made puzzles.
Noah does not seem to be enjoying it as much as Dakota.

The finished puzzles.
I am actually working on a puzzle too...
but mine was a lot more pieces than theirs,
and a week later I am still not finished!
I will post it when I am done!
It is of San Diego.

When ever Bridger would want to get away from me he would crawl under the patio table and pull all of the chairs around him. As if I could not get to him!
So funny, this little guy!

(Not trying to post porn, but this is just cute!)

Very busy, but over all a fun weekend with the little boys!
I think we were all happy when mom and dad got home though!
Especially Bridger and Dakota.
Even though they did not act like it!
