Parade of Homes

This year the Parade of Homes home was built in Orem
in a Sub Division that Bobby is in charge of,
so Bobby was in charge of making the decisions on the home this year.
The house turned out really nice and I think shows really well.
It is in a price range that is affordable and is a home that is realistic for most.
I spent some time helping Bobby with it and took some pictures
so I can give a little home tour of some of my favorite things
about the home.........

 Family Room Area
I really like the color scheme that was used.
And I love the wood floors, especially the color of them.

I love the Kitchen.
My favorite thing would have to be the back splash. I love it!
Also love the granite, it is a very unique color, and goes well with the white cabinets.

Dining Area
I love the Linen chairs.  Can not imagine trying to keep them clean when you have kids,
but I do love them, especially the two head chairs.

Master Bedroom
I love the 2 dimensional accent wall in this room.
Trying to figure out where I could do this in my house.

Master Bath

Office and Entry
The desk is actually Summers new desk that she just bought for her home office,
but was kind enough to let us use in the home.
I really like the clock on the wall shaped like a key!  I want it!
Girl Bedroom
This is my favorite room.  I love the colors.
Just really wish I had a little girl to decorate a room like this for.
Love, love this room!!

Guest Bath and Laundry
I really like the tile that was used in both of the bathrooms.
Bobby said it reminded him of McDonalds.  I just don't see it.
And, I have got to get me one of those shower heads. I like those big ones!

Boy Room and Bonus Area over the garage.
I like the accent wall in this room as well,
and love the dresser and night stand/table.  This house has some fun furniture.

Movie Room
This is a fun room. And has a full kitchen with a range and refrigerator.
Also, the counter has seating on both sides which is kind of fun
because then you can sit at the counter and watch movies.

Back and Side Yard

This is a great house.  I know that Bobby stressed and worked hard on it, as well as Matt!
Every time I was there Matt was there making sure that things were getting done.

So happy it all turned out.  Parade lasts another week.
Bobby and I have toured a few of the other homes.
Actually, some really big ones, but I still think that so far I like this one best.
Okay, so I may be a little bias................
And although this house only has 3 bedrooms, it has a huge basement
with room for 3 more bedrooms and another bathroom
so it could be a comfortable home for a family.
And it is in a great little neighborhood.
I am curious to hear what others think about it.  Would love to be a fly
on the wall listening while people are looking at it.

I do have to share pictures from a bedroom at a house in our neighborhood
that is totally going to make Noah green with envy.....
I am hoping they do not have a child Noah's age so he doesn't have to go over and play.
I will never hear the end of it..........

Yeah!  Noah's dream room...............

Rachel's 22nd Birthday....

We celebrated Rachels Birthday at the house with the family a week or so ago.
I got her cake from "Nothing Bundt Cakes".
I could not decide on a flavor so I got three.
Red Velvet which I think is her favorite, and then Lemon and Chocolate.

She was able to blow out all her candles
with a little help from Dakota and Bridger.
In fact we had a hard time getting them lit because Bridger kept blowing them out!
I think, the candles are his favorite part of everyones birthdays!

I got Rachel a new camera because Bobby said theirs had broken.
I think she/they liked it!
She also got a running shirt from Summer and Scott,
and a gift card to go to the movies from Autumn and Matt!

The winning cake flavor was the Red Velvet, with Chocolate coming in 2nd,
and Lemon 3rd.
My favorite flavor was the Lemon! And I may have eaten the whole thing!

The best thing about family get togethers is the food.
We had Salmon and steak and it was yummy!
Honestly, can we eat with out having the dogs lurking around the food?

During dinner, Dakota bit into frozen cookie dough and lost his first tooth
which he also swallowed!!
I heard that the tooth fairy still came.........

It is always fun and crazy when the family gets together!

Rachel, I hope you had a great Birthday.
We love having you in our family!!

Wednesday, June 13

McKenzie is Engaged......

Last Saturday night McKenzie sent me a text.
All that was in it was this picture........
It did not need any other explanation!

 I knew it was coming
but wondered if he would wait until they got back to the states.
I guess that would not have been as romantic as a proposal in Hawaii though!
The last few days she has been slowly leaking these pictures on face book.
They are so cute..........
And she really looks so happy!!

I love, love all of these pictures!
Really what could be more romantic than Hawaii........
or more beautiful!

The above picture is one of my favorites.  Just a lot of fun!

I really love this ring.
Very different and non traditional!
Exactly what she wanted.

They will both be back Wednesday for good.
So excited.
Can not believe we are planning another wedding though.....
3 in one year! Wow!

#32

This past Spring we decided to try to get Noah onto a League team to play basketball.
I signed him up for some tryouts and he had to tryout for a team.
12 boys or so tried out for the team and then after tryouts they old us they were only
taking two boys and would let us know by the end of the week.
Wow!  Did not know that was what they meant by tryout.
Talk about a stressful week.  Noah wanted to make a team so badly.
A little too much for a 9 year old boy!
I may have gotten just a little excited when I received the call saying that Noah
had made the team!! I could not stop thanking the coach!!
A few days before the first game, Noah was the only player on the team
who did not have his Jersey yet.  The coaches wife said she would bring it to the game.
For a couple days, Noah kept saying he hoped he got #32.
Jimmers # at BYU!
Noah wanted that number so bad.
I told him not to gets his hopes up on that # because there was only
one Jersey left and I doubted that would be it.
He kept saying, "But mom, there is a chance."
I told him "Yeah, a 1 in 99 chance."
Well, you can imagine my surprise and Noah's excitement when He was handed
a Jersey and the number on it was 32!
He found me in the stands and held it up and had the biggest smile on his face!
I thought I would cry!!

Noah has loved playing with his team.
He did not know any of these boys and they have become fast friends.
He has great coaches and he is learning so much and becoming a better basketball player.

Over Memorial day weekend they had a tournament they played in.
They did not do so great, but it was a lot of fun.

Noah has scored in every game that he has played in.
One game he was on fire and scored 16 points!

He is the tallest on his team and has the longest arms....
He plays at the center position which is new to him
but he is doing great!

Noah has a stance.  He often has his hands on his hips......

This is how Hunter enjoys the games!!

(They both like Orange)

The first weekend in June Noah went to the Cougar Alumni camp.
He had so much fun and said it was the best and funnest camp he has been to.
His favorite Person there was TJ Haws who is Lone Peaks star player
and the younger brother to BYU player Tyler Haws.

The camp was run by Jackson Emery, Noah Hartsock and Charles (not even going to try his last name)
One reason why Noah liked it so much is because after the first day
they all knew his name. And he won several awards and contests and one day
was picked as the hardest worker that day at the camp!
He was able to get his picture taken with Jackson, Noah and Charles,
and then get several BYU player autographs!
He is going to Jimmers camp in August, but he thinks this one will still be his favorite!

Noah loves basketball!
So much so that when he comes and crawls into my bed at night
I often wake up next to a basketball because he brings it with him!!
