McKenzie is not our only child, but as of lately it seems that way!
Because of graduation it seems that everything going on is about her,
as was last night when she graduated from
MountainLand Applied Technology College
and now has her Certified Nursing Assistant Certificate!
We are so proud of her!
She did really well and always had some of the top scores in the class,
and her teacher told me last night how much she loved
having McKenzie in her class!
McKenzie with some of the students in her class
and her teacher!
(The boy in the back that is pretending to be tall
is probably shorter than all of the girls
so he is standing on a chair!) :)
This is one of her favorite friends that she had class with,
as well as the picture at the bottom of this post
with another one of her favorite friends,
neither of which go to her high school!
McKenzie told me that one of the things she enjoyed about
doing the CNA program was
making new friends with those that she might not have been friends with otherwise!
While we were at her graduation she missed going to the
"Knight of Recognition"
Ceremony that was at the High School for the Seniors.
My friend Annette texted me through out the night to let me know that
McKenzie had received a Scholarship Award
as well as the "Principals Award" that is awarded
to only 20 graduating Seniors
from the class of about 700 seniors.
The award winners are picked because the Principal feels they
best represent Lone Peak High School.
Apparently it is a coveted award!
She had no idea she was getting it and was so surprised when I told her.
Today they came into one of her classes and gave her a plaque!
We are so proud of her!!
(If any of my other children are reading this,
know that we are so proud of all of you!!!) :)
Way to go McKenzie!
