Building New Homes....

Summer and Scott are building a new house in Highland
and it is now nearly finished in the framing stage of construction.
Summer is very excited about it and all of the planning
pretty much consumes her life.

Scott busy working trying to get things done to put windows in.

The view from her back yard.
On a normal year all of that water down there is just a small stream.

The back of her house.

A construction site is every little boys dream playground.

Autumn and Matt are also building there first home in Pleasant Grove.

Matt has been able to help with the framing
and will be doing a lot of the work on the home.
I think they are pretty excited and are having fun with the whole process!

First Picture inside of their home!

The view from their back windows.
They get to have horses for neighbors.

Bobby and Rachel are also building a house in Saratoga Springs.
I have not been there yet, but will post pictures soon.

3 Kids all building houses at the same time,
and all of the wedding plans, it is a very busy summer for the family!

Another engagement, Bobby and Rachel....

Last night Bobby and Rachel became officially engaged!
We all knew it was happening, just did not know when.
They are getting married September 2nd.
We are all very happy and excited for them!
Noah keeps saying it is about time because Bobby was getting so old!!
I wish I was 24 and so old again!!

Haircuts!

The night before our trip all of the boys got haircuts!
I can not tell you how excited I was about this!
Daniel actually went pretty short.

Hunter just a trim, but a major improvement!

Noah was less than thrilled!

Not sure why I did not get pictures after the haircuts,
but I guess they will be seen in our pictures from the trip
when I post them!

Anyway, it was a Happy Day! For me at least!
I am just not a fan of the long hair......
but getting it cut was their decision.
Well maybe not Noah's............

Good Bye Ducks...........

The Sunday before our Disney trip we decided it was time to let the ducks go.
We could not keep them at our house outside because it just was not safe.
Our first plan was to take them down to Heritage park
where there is a big pond and lots of other ducks.
McKenzie and I invisioned them being so excited to get freedom
that they would join the other ducks and swim off into the sunset
and live happily ever after.

It did not go quite as planned.
They did not want anything to do with the other ducks.
Did not care about the water.
Followed us back to the car..........
They seemed pretty domesticated and were not afraid of people.
After about 45 minutes of trying to persuade them to stay in the water
and not run into the road, and not follow us,
we decided to go with our 2nd plan.......

We gathered them back up,

and took them to James sister Janene's house.
She has 5 other ducks that they take care of and she said she would take ours.
We weren't sure how well they would be accepted by the other ducks,
but after a few little curiousity pecks by her ducks,
Daisy and Dopey seemed to be accepted.

I felt so much better about leaving them with Janene
than leaving them at the pond.
So I am really glad we went with plan 2!
Noah was sad but I promised we could come back and visit!

Saying good bye was hard, but we finally dragged McKenzie away......

Daisy and Dopey with their new family.
The next morning Janene sent me a text and said they were doing great.
Waddling around and eating.
A few days later she sent McKenzie a text saying that
Daisy had actually become one of the leaders.
I believe it because she was always a little fiesty and bossy!!
It was fun to have them while we did,
but I will not miss the smell, or the poop!!

Kind of wish he was a little more afraid of snakes..............

Close Encounters with Jimmer

Noah and Jimmer
I think this was probably the highlight of Noah's life so far......

I apologize for the poor quality of some of these pictures.
I was sitting pretty far away and had forgotten my better camera lense.
As I was watching Noah at the basketball camp
I noticed Jimmer walk into the gym right behind Noah.
It was fun to see/watch Noah's reaction to having his basketball hero
so close to him, and even talking to him.

above picture, before Noah noticed him......

pretty sure Noah was about to pee his pants as he noticed
who had just walked up......

Playing it cool as a cucumber, trying to not look too excited!
I can only imagine that he was dying inside with excitement...............

Then to have Jimmer there staring down his back and offering pointers,
I am sure he was sweating bullets!
I was seriously so excited for him.
Afterwards, Noah kept talking about how nice he was,
how he did not expect him to be so nice, but he was so nice!

He really was so nice.
After the sessions he went around and high fived every boy.

Hunter also had a small close encounter with Jimmer...

Do you think he knew I was taking his picture?
Maybe!

Noah also got to play some one on one with Jackson Emery!
How cool is that?

Below Jackson is trying to block Noah's pass.

Noah with Noah Hartsock above
and Brandon Davies below!

This camp was such a fun experience for the boys.
The BYU players are just top notch guys and made each boy
feel like they were a superstar!
I was so impressed.
Noah had the time of his life and got several autographs on his tshirt.
Hunter had a good time too,
but did not get into it as much as Noah.
I could not get him to get his picture taken with anyone,
that is why there are no pictures of him.
It is not that I love Noah more,
just in case anyone was wondering.......................

Getting Jimmered.......

Noah and Hunter had the opportunity to go to
a Basketball Camp this past weekend put on by
Jimmer Freddette and Jackson Emery!
How cool is that????

They had a great time.
Noah was especially thrilled to be in the presence of
what he considers the greatest basketball player ever!

I have a lot more pictures and will add them soon!
Just wanted to get these two up for now!

Autumns Engaged!!!!!!

Autumn and Matt are officially engaged!

They are getting married on October 7th
and we could not be happier!

Where the engagement took place............

I don't know all of the details,
but I will let Autumn get on here and share if she wants to........

Congratulations Autumn and Matt!!
We love you both!
