Santa and the Boys.........

This last week we have been putting up the Christmas Tree
and decorating the house getting ready for Christmas.
As I pull out the boxes of decorations
there is one box that I get the most excited about
and as I open it and pull out its contents
I cant help but get the biggest smile and even sometimes a few tears.
This box holds my greatest Christmas treasures....
pictures of my boys through the years with Santa.
I started when Hunter was a baby and Daniel was 2 years old.
Every year since then I have dragged them to the mall to get their picture with Santa.
As Daniel gets older, it is getting a little harder,
but I always manage to convince him to do it!
I always tell them it is all I want for Christmas from them,
nothing else. I may even resort to paying them if I have to!
So far this year I am still trying to convince.....
I thought it would be fun to share 12 years of pictures with Santa.
I will post this years as soon as I get it...hopefully soon!
Enjoy my cute boys!!!!!

"1998"
They are both pretty happy in this one!

"1999"

Love these boys!
Daniel could actually pass for an elf with his ears.........

"2003"

"2004"
Noah would not get close to Santa so we stuck him on the
rocking horse way out in front!

"2009"
This is the picture from last year!
I love these pictures and I love that my boys will go stand
in a line at the mall with a bunch of little kids
to get their picture taken with Santa because it makes their mom so happy!
I hope they want to make me happy this year...........

Thanksgiving 2010

Thanksgiving started out with us attending
a Thanksgiving day race in Orem.
The family does it every year.

This year it was only 8 degrees outside!
It was so cold!
Noah was so funny! He thought the goggles would keep him warm!

Summer, McKenzie and I then spent most of the afternoon cooking!
Summer and I had attended a cooking class
on how to make the perfect Thanksgiving dinner
a couple of weeks ago and were excited to try out all of the Recipes.
According to everyone, it was the best Thanksgiving dinner ever!
Summer will be posting the recipes on her Blog the Skillet Sisters soon!

This is just a sample of the food.
There was so much more.........................
The best I think was the Cranberry Vanilla Bread Pudding
that we made for dessert!

After dinner, the boys all went out to play a game of football in the snow
while the girls cleaned up of course!

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!

Happy Birthday Dakota!!

Today is Dakota's 5th Birthday!
I can not believe that we have a Grandson that is 5!
I remember being at the Hospital when he was born.
Summer wanted the girls and I there,
but not actually in the room with her,
so McKenzie, Autumn and I stood out in the hall.
I remember we were out there talking and all of a sudden we all got
quiet as we heard his first cry.
I got the biggest lump in my throat as the tears filled my eyes....
it was the sweetest sound!
After we went into the room Summer wasn't feeling well and
she asked me to take him!
I was the first person other than Summer and Scott to hold him!
In my mind I just assumed that he would look like one of our babies,
not really sure why I thought that...
but I remember looking at him and thinking that he didn't have our nose..
he looked so much like Scott!
Imagine that! He looked like his dad!

Me holding a brand new Dakota!

As I was looking for pictures of Dakota today,
I found all of these pictures of all of the kids with him.
I thought it was so fun to see how everyone, including Dakota had changed in 5 years.

The proud parents!

Uncle Noah and Aunt Autumn!
Noah was 3 years old and Autumn was 16!

Uncle Hunter was 7 years old.
It doesn't matter how old Hunter is, he has always looked the same.

Uncle Daniel was 9.
He is the one who looks so young to me.

Aunt McKenzie is 13 and blond.........
Hard to remember her being blond.

Uncle Bobby was 18!
All of the kids were so excited to have a new baby in the family!

That cute little baby has grown into such a handsome and fun little boy!
For his Birthday Party he had a cake shaped like a Lego!
He wanted a Lego/Army Birthday...

He really liked the Army Helicopter we gave him.
Not really sure what is going on with his eyes below......
Funny, funny picture!
He had a fun Birthday and was so cute!
He was always quick to say thank you for his presents.
Summer and Scott have done a great job teaching him how to be polite!
He is just a sweet boy! Most of the time anyways!
Noah somehow manages to bring out the worst in him..
they always want to play together until they actually play together..
then they fight like brothers.............

We Love You Dakota!
Hope you had a great 5th Birthday!

Newest Scout

I do not remember any of our boys being as excited
about becoming a Cub Scout as Noah.
He is always wearing his uniform
and always wants dad to read the Scout book to him.
He has already passed off his Bob Cat
and has nearly passed off his Wolf!
The way he is going he will probably have his Eagle
before either Daniel or Hunter!

Our Little Artist

Last weekend it seemed that it was just Noah and I home most of the time.
Noah was bored out of his mind........
so I gave him paper and paints
and that kept him entertained for hours.
These are his creations........
He insisted I take pictures and blog them.
He wants me to blog everything that he does.
Funny kid, but a great little artist!

Jungle Scene...Love the Giraffe!

Noah's Ark

Campfire under the stars......

Haunted House, I think.....

I think he did a great job on all of his pictures!
