I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas????

A few days ago I was thinking that we might not have snow for Christmas!
Well, I worried for nothing.
It looks like we will have a White Christmas after all.
I really just wanted it on Christmas day.
I guess I should be a little more specific with my snow wishes.......

The boys still had to take the trash cans down today.
The snow makes it very difficult....

McKenzie's car...............

Finally made it to the bottom!

As much as I hate it, it is quite pretty to look at!
If it would just learn how to stay off of the driveway and
off of the roads!!

Patterson Christmas Party

Last night was the annual Patterson Family Christmas Party
at Grandpa Patterson's house!
The best way to describe it is "organized chaos!"
So many people (60 or so)...but everyone seems to enjoy it.
And other than funerals, it is the only time the whole Patterson family gets together!

Sisters!!

McKenzie showing Dakota how to "really" color in a coloring book!
Dakota is so funny...he knows just what to do when you say "Smile"!

Looks like McKenzie knows how to smile too!!

Uncle Dave was having fun with Noah
seeing how many empty containers he could stack on his head.
The key was for Noah to not laugh.
As soon as he laughed they would all come tumbling down...

but, if he could hold still and be serious
he could get them pretty high....

Never could get up to seven though.....

a grueling and boring game of chess....

Bridger loves his Uncle Bobby!
He sticks to him like glue.....
Below, Bridger decided he did not really like salad.......
Ewwwwww!

Why is it so hard to get a descent picture of my kids????

Dave and Janis are always the life of the party...
every year they are in charge of the games.
this year they did a Bingo game,
and the prizes were the white elephant gifts that everyone brought.
The only things is that there are no rules to their BINGO game
and they kept changing things up, so no one really ever knew what was going on
or whether you really had a Bingo or not,
which means my family just started cheating,
as they do every year.....
weird no one has caught on yet........
You think people would start to wonder
when my kids always have the most presents at the end of the night!
Happens every year!

Bridger liked going through all of the presents....

Dakota loved the old used bowling pins
that he got as a white elephant gift.
He later traded them to Daniel for some other thing/toy
that Daniel had!
Daniel is displaying them in his room on a shelf!!!

It was a fun night for the family!
Always the Sunday before Christmas,
which really gets the kids in the mood for Christmas......
and starts the beginning of my anxiety and puts me into complete panic mode!!

#1 Reason why I HATE the SNOW!!!!!!!

OUCH!!!!!!!

Yes! This is my car!!!
No! I was not driving...........
this happened just going down the driveway!
We are also now minus a couple of lights
and have a dent in the fence!

Did I cry when I saw it? Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am the snow Grinch!
I really, really hate the snow!

Why Noah should be on the good list.......

(Noah brought home this letter he wrote at school.
It is so cute. Sounds like he is a little worried about not being on the good list!)

Why I should be on Santa's list...........

I think I should be on the good list.
I have been good all year santa.
So please Santa, can I be on the good list?
I am good Santa.
So Please, can I be on the good list?
I know why you think I should be on the naughty list.
You have seen me being mean to my nephew.
But Santa, can you please forgive me?
I will never, ever be bad again.
So Santa, please forgive me
so you can put my name on the good list.
That is what I want. O.K. ??????
I do not want to be on the bad list.
So Santa put me on the good list.
That is all I want for Christmas,
so you have to put me on the good list.
That is it......

Love- Noah Patterson

How could this cute face not be on Santa's good list?????

The Joys of Boys.....

I had the fun job of tending Dakota and Bridger today while Summer worked!
Talk about busy, busy boys!
Pretty sure they had the time of their lives......
I was amazed at how much damage could be done by two little boys
in the course of a day at Grandmas!
It started with Bridger having a major diaper blow out.
Poop every where but actually in the diaper!
He even somehow managed to get it on the walls!
He then discovered the gingerbread houses and enjoyed a breakfast of Candy!
Bridger was in Heaven!

Dakota joined him......

Later they decided it would be fun to throw ornaments and ribbon
from the Garland on the railings, over the railing to the floor below!

Dakota thought it was fun to wrap himself in the ribbon!

A view from above, to the damages below....
Our front room still had the tables set up from our dinner parties
we had over the weekend!
They both thought it was so fun to play in the front room
among the tables, and now decorations and ribbon!

And when I thought the worst had been done,
Bridger proved me wrong
and decided it was fun to pull off all the petals on the Poinsetta's!!
Where was I during all of this?
Trying to finish my Christmas shopping on line of course!
I think it would have been easier to just take them out shopping.......

Thank you God!
His nap lasted only an hour, but I needed the rest!
Love these boys!!!!!

The Forgotten Carols

(To view the above video you will want to scroll down and turn off the music in my side bar)
Last night we saw the "Forgotten Carols".
I have seen it every year for the lst few years
and love it so much!
Kind of the kicker I need to get me in the mood for the Holiday Season.
This video is of my favorite song of the night.
Actually, I love them all, but if I had to pick a favorite this would be it!
Michael Mclean, the old guy in the clip,
wrote the play, and all of the songs and acts in it.
He is so wonderful and has a real gift with music.
Bobby served in his ward when he was serving in Malibu
and spent part of his first Christmas in the mission at his home.

Picture With Santa 2010

The newest picture with Santa.
Can't believe I talked them into it, atleast for one more year!
Love these boys!
This picture almost looks exactly like last year.
Daniel looks exactly the same. He says he is taller.....
hard to tell when he is sitting down!
Hunter looks the most different because of his hair!
Which he got cut yesterday,
but who can tell?
Thanks Boys! This qualifies as my Christmas present for the Year!
