#32

This past Spring we decided to try to get Noah onto a League team to play basketball.
I signed him up for some tryouts and he had to tryout for a team.
12 boys or so tried out for the team and then after tryouts they old us they were only
taking two boys and would let us know by the end of the week.
Wow!  Did not know that was what they meant by tryout.
Talk about a stressful week.  Noah wanted to make a team so badly.
A little too much for a 9 year old boy!
I may have gotten just a little excited when I received the call saying that Noah
had made the team!! I could not stop thanking the coach!!
A few days before the first game, Noah was the only player on the team
who did not have his Jersey yet.  The coaches wife said she would bring it to the game.
For a couple days, Noah kept saying he hoped he got #32.
Jimmers # at BYU!
Noah wanted that number so bad.
I told him not to gets his hopes up on that # because there was only
one Jersey left and I doubted that would be it.
He kept saying, "But mom, there is a chance."
I told him "Yeah, a 1 in 99 chance."
Well, you can imagine my surprise and Noah's excitement when He was handed
a Jersey and the number on it was 32!
He found me in the stands and held it up and had the biggest smile on his face!
I thought I would cry!!

Noah has loved playing with his team.
He did not know any of these boys and they have become fast friends.
He has great coaches and he is learning so much and becoming a better basketball player.

Over Memorial day weekend they had a tournament they played in.
They did not do so great, but it was a lot of fun.

Noah has scored in every game that he has played in.
One game he was on fire and scored 16 points!

He is the tallest on his team and has the longest arms....
He plays at the center position which is new to him
but he is doing great!

Noah has a stance.  He often has his hands on his hips......

This is how Hunter enjoys the games!!

(They both like Orange)

The first weekend in June Noah went to the Cougar Alumni camp.
He had so much fun and said it was the best and funnest camp he has been to.
His favorite Person there was TJ Haws who is Lone Peaks star player
and the younger brother to BYU player Tyler Haws.

The camp was run by Jackson Emery, Noah Hartsock and Charles (not even going to try his last name)
One reason why Noah liked it so much is because after the first day
they all knew his name. And he won several awards and contests and one day
was picked as the hardest worker that day at the camp!
He was able to get his picture taken with Jackson, Noah and Charles,
and then get several BYU player autographs!
He is going to Jimmers camp in August, but he thinks this one will still be his favorite!

Noah loves basketball!
So much so that when he comes and crawls into my bed at night
I often wake up next to a basketball because he brings it with him!!
